It is widely understood that the human race must collaborate to survive but this does not mean that one man needs the other man to be able to survive. It means that when both men collaborate, they will both benefit. Is this model true if there is a fair 50-50 split in participation? It is not clear due to the millions of interactions everyday. There is also the distribution of skills and the possession or ownership of those tools. If one man has more than the other, then he has the opportunity to take advantage to control the other man. This differentiator is called knowledge and awareness of these preferences can be accelerated by the parents of the new born child. The end of innocence as it is widely known, is the end of childhood and that is brought about by the onset of awareness through education. Is the advantage then, by which man becomes knowledgeable first?
If he is aware of the world and it's workings before the other man, then morally he has a choice to share and collaborate with the other man or not to share, but to control the other person using the tools given to him, in turn, by his loving parents. So in this scenario having an advantage means collaboration is not a 50-50 dialogue. One man effectively is the prisoner and the other man holds the key. The only hope for the prisoner is to find education from another source other than the person who has now revealed themselves as your opponent. To find a way out of the shackles can be done through self awareness but the resources must be found within your environment and if your environment is a prison cell you must have patience and wait. The opportunity will come.

How it happens
A person who is either raised, shielded from adulthood or somehow has avoided the lessons of how the world works, will at some point meet another man who will use his greater knowledge to assess the usefulness of that person. If that person has grown up with a natural talent or their upbringing has encouraged a focus in a particular area of self expression which the other person does not possess yet desires, then a dangerous exchange will develop where one man will try to control the other. The exchange may begin innocently, even accidentally but it will continue it's course through the development of friendship, into rivalry, then resentment and eventually ending in conflict & resolution.

What makes it escalate and what is the end result?
People learn to resist the control of other people. This resistance frustrates the person trying to control the other, so they apply more of their will until the desire to break free becomes as strong as the power that controls. This struggle begins in the mind and ends in the physical realm. It ends in two ways with either one man losing or both men losing, maybe even dead. Nobody ever wins unless there is collaboration between each person. In that scenario everybody wins. Everybody survives.

When does it happen?
It could be anyone at any time but the earlier the better. A startling revelation is easier for a younger constitution to recover from. The older a person gets, the greater the shock when the veil is lifted. As they say, ignorance is bliss.
